Definitely not waterproofI got this to replace an old one that the top had cracked. I thought this one looked like the top would hold up better and be able to be used as a seat but we'll see...it has more give than I expected. The color is kind of bluish but that's ok. The biggest challenge was getting the top on. You will need at least 2 people, 3 would be better but I did it with 2, but trying to get the 4 "hinges" into the top was really next to impossible without a hammer. I got a rubber mallet and they snapped in fine though.The lid doesn’t stay closed if you don’t have a lock in place. The front piece sticks out almost like it’s warped? Not sure if I got a bad one or if all are like this.The only thing is putting it together. Not as easy as you may think. But very sturdyInstructions were not super clear on how to attach the top. Difficult to fit the hinges onto the box. Overall nice looking. I am happy with the match to my other furniture. Box itslef is a little flimsy.Fairly easy to assemble don’t know how Waterproof it is yet. Looks okay for the pricePerfect size for a few pool supplies and deflated floaties. Unfortunately the lid hooks that snap into the box aren't as sturdy as they should be for such a big storage container and 1 broke easily during assembly. The box is too big to just pull back apart and return... so I have a wonky lid now.
