I remember using draft dots when I was in high school. I suppose a roll of masking tape does just as well, but these are a convenient and relatively inexpensive answer to, "How do I attach my paper to the drawing board?" I recently got back into drafting and remembered this product from my youth. They work. They are round...which means you are less likely to bunch them up and the T-square and triangles dont' catch on them as easily as a rectangular piece of tape. They can be reused a couple of times, but they will bunch up a bit the second and third times you use them. That doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, just don't reuse them. They stick the paper to the drawing board firmly and come up easily, without tearing the paper when you are done. The box is designed to hold the backing roll in a specific way, so that when you pull on the loose end, the drafting dots come out and are automatically peeled off the backing paper. This makes it much easier to grab the dot.The only minor annoyance about them is that these were printed with ads...the name of the company I purchased them from. I don't particularly like giving 'free advertising,' but it doesn't affect the quality or usefulness of the product at all.If you attach paper to a drawing board, I highly recommend this product for you.
