This represents the best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, not to be confused with the later day Buckingham / Nicks version. This was a jamming blues band, with 3 lead guitars and 2 male lead vocalists, anchored by the impeccable rhythm section of (Mick) Fleetwood (John) Mac(Vie). As the excellent liner notes to this box state, this iteration of the Mac owes a large musical debt to the Grateful Dead, and it shows in this collection. It showcases three nights at the Boston Tea Party in February 1970, on their last American tour. It's all here: long bluesy jams, F Mac originals, rock 'n' roll covers, and even guest appearances by Joe Walsh (James Gang, Eagles) and Eric Clapton.
