Very heart duty design. I did a lot of research before purchasing this one and it paid off. So many customers were complaining about other manufacturers boxes being thin, brittle, etc.That isn’t the case with this one! Very good design, thick plastic reinforced with metal bracing. Corners screw together and it isn’t the type of plastic that will become brittle with age!The only problem I encountered was that the box had not been opened and all 9 screws for the first three corners tightened up very securely.However all three screws for the last corner went in way to easy and wouldn’t tighten like the screw holes were stripped. They are the type of sharp pointed screws that puncture the plastic when you install and you keep tightening them by hand until tight. This three wouldn’t tighten. It was almost like they had been assembled once before and over tightened.Can’t figure out how that could have happened because like I said that box had never been opened. I was able to fix it by first squirting some 5 minute epoxy into the holes and retightening them. Then just above those 3 screw locations I installed 3 more screws and all three of those thightened down with no problems. They were all on the inside so they don’t show.Once I solved that issue the rest of the box assembled easily. It is an extremely sturdy design, strong plastic, strong hinges and attachment screws, a metal latch plate for a padlock, no lift assist but a very sturdy support rod to hold the lid open when needed and it looks like it will be waiter proof. I may get a cover for it to protect it from the very harsh, hot Texas sun.I am very satisfied about this purchase and highly recommend this box for anyone looking.This is exactly what I was looking for in terms of price, strength, and security. Other outdoor storage boxes I've purchased have been flimsy, parts have broken off easily either after light use or even during shipping.Not this box, however. This showed up perfectly intact, not a scratch, and once put together (I was able to put it together just by myself), I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to curl up in the box and close the lid no problem.Given that I'm not a small guy, I knew this was the perfect storage option for me. No longer would I have to put my collections into the back of my truck where they could risk being found.Now whenever I add a name to my notebook I have the perfect, secure interim storage while I find a permanent dirt home for my finds.Due to the nature of my collecting habits, I've found the container tends to stink after a while. I've also found that a slight hole in one of the bottom corners is perfect for thoroughly washing the container for the next time.I do wish the hole for the padlock was a little larger, but if someone has the tools for cutting a masterlock, it wouldn't be a stretch to say they could just cut into the box.Overall, excellent product, would reccomend!Easy to put together. Watch the lid hinge, they dont tell you or show which end goes on the lid but not hard to figure out. Needed the wife to hold the lid to install but the rest i did on my own. Solid. Worth the price.I am very pleased with the storage box. It shipped in a timely manner and was not damaged. There are no visible imperfections and the colors are as stated. There is even a bag of "spare parts." The parts are clearly marked within Individual bags labeled that match the instructions. All of the sides are labeled as to left, right etc. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. It took me 20 minutes to put together and it looks great. I have eight seat cushions inside and six large beach towels for the spa and I have only used about 60 percent of the space. I absolutely can recommend this storage/deck box.No complaints, stores all my loose items keeping my deck neatThis deck box is heavy duty. Easy to assemble and perfect. And, because it is so solid, I bought two of them for pool supplies and fish/pond supplies. Then I got some Velcro and put outdoor chair cushions on them for extra seating.This product is a keeper.I did a lot of looking because these storage units are so expensive . This one works perfectly for me . It holds three cushions for my swing and four seat cushions . I love everything about it . The color , it is water proof , also easy to put togetrher . We are in our seventies , a younger person would probably whip it together really fast . I highly recommend this storage box .Update on my original review. Some how the first box got lost. Company sent a second box which arrived quickly. The whole transaction went very smoothly , I definitely would recommend this seller and the product. Super happy with the purchase
