Great display case for the "Key to the Bastille" keychain I bought from the Shops at Mount Vernon. Just had to get this box, as I wrote the book "George Washington's Liberty Key: Mount Vernon's Bastille Key." Removed the keychain rings, and the gold-finish key fits quite nicely, working as a reminder of the real Bastille key in its case in the entryway of George Washington's mansion in Mount Vernon. For the box's price, I have to say I was impressed, especially given prices for such cases elsewhere. As for some negatives reviews, I did notice, however, that the lid had one of its sides very slightly out of alignment. You might see this at the top left of the accompanying photo. I'm hesitant to do any pressing into shape, out of concern that I might break the glass. At any rate, unless one has a very critical eye and handles the box closely, no one is apt to notice the slight flaw. This being said, I'm quite pleased!Check out one of William J. Bahr’s books: George Washington's Liberty Key: Mount Vernon's Bastille Key – the Mystery and Magic of Its Body, Mind, and Soul, a best seller at Mount Vernon.
