I read a couple of reviews that said the phone fell out. I can't imagine that happening. the phone sleeve on the small is very tight even on my Iphone SE (same size as the old 5). I have to pop it out of the case to put it in the sleeve. The bag itself is still bulkier than I would prefer but being able to see my phone screen is great and the touch screen does work through the plastic screen, My bike has an oversized headtube and external cable routing but the straps work fineworks great to hold multi-tool and co2. i tried mountain biking with an iphone 6s (not the plus size) in the cell phone compartment, and the velcro enclosure was not strong enough to hold the phone down. the phone is at the very top of the goody box, so it becomes top heavy and bobbles around, with my phone it flew open and all the stuff fell out. it works fine with maintenance equipment (tools, co2, tube) in the main compartment, but the cell phone enclosure doesn't really work. i won't try the cell phone on the road now - i don't want my phone hitting the pavement. i will use on longer road rides to hold tubes, gels, co2s, etc to complement a saddle bag - but the original intent was to have it replace the saddle back on my mountain bike because of the dropper post. the "it's ok" rating is spot on.I love the look of this bag. I get compliments on my matching white bags (under seat and top post - both Timbuk2) on my white bike. I so wanted to love this bag. It is really a good looking bag. This is not meant for rough roads or bumps AT ALL. I have lost a small jar of chamois cream, 3 full packages of Shot Bloks, 2 EPIC bars, and eye rewetting drops. None of the aforementioned are "cheap," either. These items were lost on several different rides - rides I just couldn't turn back around on and retrieve the items. The top cover pops off with any kind of jostling.I thought I would like being able to see my phone through the plastic top and while it is a nice feature, it really isn't that user friendly and, hey, should I really be looking at my phone when I need to watch out for the people in vehicles who are doing the same and will cause some serious damage to me if I am not alert at all times? If you need this bag for a little stroll around town or you ride only in flat and smooth conditions, this may be for you.Purchased this as a recommendation from hubby. Good points: Color - love it. Phone fits (apple 5s) just great. Overall.... this fits my Norco Valence bike great - no hitting the contain with my knees. However, first big turn and the case opened and all my stuff spilled out. Having the phone in the cover makes this very top heavy. I most likely will give to my kid since I need a more secure closing (the replacement I purchased has a zipper all the way around.Super small, basically big enough for a standard smart phone and not much more. I may be rating this more on my expectations of what I was getting so take that into consideration. The item appears to be very well made. The stitching, design, look, and materials seem to be top quality. It is also light weight so it isn't a burden added onto the bike. If this size and type of item is what you are looking for then it is worth buying.Don't know what is going on with Timbuk2. My household has a handful of bikes and has been using Timbuk2 products for about six years. They recently redesigned many of their bike products and they simply are inferior to the previous models. The goody box is no exception. The velcro is virtually useless. Do not keep anything of value in this pouch. I have a couple energy gel packs and a few emergency bucks. I put my phone in there once and lost it around a corner (road biking). The only problem I have had with this is the Velcro that keeps it sealed - doesn't unless you really watch it. On the Pan Mass Challenge I hit a big bump - it popped open and tossed my best phone charger into the road - never seen again. However....if you take your time and REALLY make sure it's sealed...it's great. Small, good looking yet deep. Keeps things dry in the rain!I am familiar with Timbuk2 products. I use this bag on my bicycle for storage of my phone, while riding. I'm a little disappointed in the stickiness of the velcro. The bag has opened on a couple of rides and my tools and tubes fell out. Overall a good product.Good quality product, however sliding an iPhone 11 into the phone slot is tricky; the phone “sticks” to the plastic. In addition, you have to be careful closing the unit to ensure the three hinged/flap sides are fitting correctly.
