with all the Nazareth albums,cds and compilations I have it took me a while to get around to buying this one, I figured since I have got the entire remastered uk catlog from 2003 and then the entire japan papersleeves from 2006 as well as quite a few compilations and bbc stuff and singles box sets what do I need this for????? I did see it contained unreleased materiel but how much more Nazareth music do I need??? also lets not forget I have all the lps from the 70s going into the 80s as well as the two more current releases from the last five years ( the newz and big dogz) well I finally took the plunge some 18 months after this box set came out and it really is worth every penny especially for the unreleased stuff, also a lot of the old tracks that are the classics on both disc one ( especially disc one) are in mono or are different mixes then we are used to hearing, this box set is no doubt a must for any diehard Nazareth fan or a real older Nazareth fan that wants to revisit the bands glory days, the booklet that comes with this has so much incredible information as well as vintage photos from the 70s through the 80s and a few from beyond, also there is a very cool turn on your receiver jingle on here from the 70s I never heard before from the bbc, the 4 discs containing here are jam packed with a lot of stuff you may never have heard before because of old throw away mixes and of coarse even though labels where still putting out some singles in mono up until around 1978 or so as the 70s went on they got fewer and further not pressed anymore until it all died like the old 8 track finally did in the mid 80s, my point is those versions of mono tracks from the mid 70s are all HERE, also the live stuff that has never been released anyplace else is very enjoyable to any Nazareth fan, I spent the past few days spinning these discs and im am very pleased I finally bought this box set for it is great, my only complaint is the new system the labels are using to package 4 cd box sets like this, they are no longer giving you a full snap in space for one disc, they are doubling the discs almost on top of each other and I really don't think this is a good idea for preservation, this is now the second 4 cd box set I have bought within 2 years where they seem to be doing this, instead of that format, why not just put the discs in nice papersleeve individual discs so the discs themselves are not popping out all the time?????? just a suggestion to what I sadley know is a dying industry, we all need to cut back to save the psysical product but lets do it sensibly anyway as I stated IF YOU LIKE NAZARETH OR YOU LOVE THEM GRAB THIS BOX SET, YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!! also a friend of mine over in the uk joe gessin is a major Nazareth collecter and most of the 45 sleeves shown in this box set in the discography section are from his collection, im not 100% sure as I have not spoken to him in a while but I think he also had a big hand in with salvo in putting this together, the guy is the biggest Nazareth fan in the world, his word is good................
