The birds are very sweet, heavy and durable. They were made of cast iron which luckily isn't damaged easily, but they were packaged without bubble wrap, so the tin was extensively damaged and had dents all over it from the inside. I guess the birds banged around inside quite a bit while being shipped. I sent one of these as a thankyou gift to a friend who didn't mention this to me. When I ordered two more to keep on hand at home for a thankyou gifts I realized the problem.
